This pair of Adidas Originals Glenbuck Spezial sneakers were inspired by an archival pair found in the curator's collection. Constructed with a lightweight textile, leather and suede upper, the sneakers bring new meaning to the idea of modern streetwear riffing on vintage styles with the web patterned outsole and sleek low top silhouette. The Scottish football player Bill Shankly's birth date is printed to the inner liner while Adidas's Trefoil logo plays out on the heel counter.
